ABOUT ME

 ABOUT ME

My name is Mehnaaz, but I go by Myra, that’s what most of my close friends call me. I’m originally from India and currently pursuing a double focus in Accounting and Management Information Systems. While my path started in architecture and design, a field I’ve always admired, I shifted gears over time to explore business and tech, blending creativity with strategy.

I began my college journey at Drury University in a 5-year Master of Architecture program, where I was involved in student organizations like NOMAS (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students), ISA (International Student Association), and BUIC (Black United Independence Collegiate). After a few personal and safety-related transitions, I transferred and found new direction in business. I’m now continuing my studies at Linn-Benton Community College, where I serve as Executive Assistant in the Student Leadership Council (SLC). I’m passionate about being involved and growing through community and leadership.

I enrolled in Principles of Marketing because it’s part of my degree path, but also because I previously interned at a social media marketing company, and that experience sparked a real interest in the creative side of business. I’m especially curious to learn more about branding and consumer psychology, and how businesses build meaningful connections with their audiences.

Outside of college, I love traveling and exploring new places. One of my favorite experiences was a class trip to St. Louis while I was at Drury. We went to the top of the Gateway Arch, and standing up there, looking out over the city felt symbolic of the goals I’m reaching toward. That moment captured my love for architecture, city life, and the joy of sharing those moments with friends.
